

COLUMBIA – Clavis Leland Suddeth, 75, died Saturday, February 5, 2022. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Mr. Suddeth was a retired architect and had been a member of the American Institute of Architects. He was also an active member of Grace Point Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his eight grandkids. Leland was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian M. Suddeth; his four children: Matthew Suddeth (Nancy), Phillip Suddeth (Bethany), Jennifer Miller (Kim) and William Suddeth (Nikki); eight grandchildren: Emily, Remy, Arrow, Lance, Caroline, Michelle, Adam and J.D; and one great-grandchild: Abel.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Prisma Baptist Parkridge Hospital.
A private graveside service, with Military Honors, was held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Thursday, February 17, 2022. A memorial service will be held at Grace Point Presbyterian Church, 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022.
