

Dawn was born in Blue Island, Illinois to the late Gilbert and Cora Dunsworth. Dawn and Al moved to Irmo in 1996 after spending 50 years in the Chicago area where she was a chiropractic assistant. Dawn had numerous hobbies but was particularly passionate about sewing and seamstress work. Dawn spent many hours making clothing and garments for special occasions for her family and many others. In addition to her hobbies, Dawn loved to go out dancing and listen to live music while drinking a rum and coke.
Dawn was an active member at East Lake Community Church where she served as a greeter and with the children's ministry group.
In addition to her husband, Dawn is also survived by her two daughters, Tracy Bolton (Matt) and Pamela Durkin (Todd); and her grandchildren, Dany and Alex Bolton and Tucker, Emma, and Hudson Durkin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024 at East Lake Community Church. A private family inurnment will take place at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dawn's memory to the American Lung Association.
