CHAPIN - A memorial service for Dorothy Wakefield Reames, 86, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dottie passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Born in Morganton, NC, she was the youngest of 13 children and a daughter of the late Thomas Edgar Wakefield and Atha Cox Wakefield. Dottie was involved with the special needs program for Irmo School and the South Carolina Autism Society. She attended Chapin United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Carlisle Reames; daughters, Kelley Reames and Leslie Reames Taylor, both of Chapin, SC; son, Rembert Carlisle “Buddy” Reames III of Lexington, SC; and two grandchildren, Kolby Taylor and Ethan Taylor.
