COLUMBIA - A worship service celebrating the life of Elva Fulmer Lee will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Columbia, South Carolina in Boyce Chapel. Elva entered the presence of the Lord on November 22, 2021 and Heaven is now her eternal home. Elva was born on March 16, 1927 and is the daughter of the late George and Pearl Fulmer. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard Mendel Lee; her granddaughter LeeBeth Young; and her twin sister Erma Fulmer Sims. Elva is survived by two loving daughters, Laurie Lee Parrish and Lisa Lee Young; and sons-in-love Oscar Smith Parrish and Edwin Barry Young. Elva loved her family deeply and found so much joy in seeing her children and grandchildren grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ and be involved in church, the Bride of Christ. She is survived by her grandchildren Stephen Smith Parrish (Katherine), Nathan Lee Parrish (Katie), Edwin Barry Young, Jr. (Jessica), Landra Young Hughes (Brad), Laurie Young Kelly (Sam); great grandchildren Kelly Katherine Parrish, Stephen Smith Parrish, Jr., James Mendel Parrish, Abigail Ann Parrish, Sterling Lee Hughes, Bradford Jackson Hughes, Thunder James Kelly, and Dodge Samuel Kelly. She is also survived by two sisters, Virginia Fulmer Floyd and Dorothy Fulmer Kerscher, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Elva gave her life to Christ and actively served the Lord in her church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Columbia, South Carolina.
