IRMO - A graveside service for George Benjimin “Bennie” Poole, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023 in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Bennie passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023. Born in Springfield, SC, he was a son of the late Ernest William Poole and Ina Livingston Poole. A graduate of Pelion High School, Class of 1956, he retired from Hahn Laboratories as a Laboratory Technician. Bennie was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nell Bouknight Poole; son, Garrett Poole; daughter, Joye King (Randy); sisters, Willette Jeffcoat, Joyce Browder; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sammie.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Mitchell Poole and his brother, Sonny Boy Poole.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, 1725 Old Tamah Road, Irmo, South Carolina 29063.
