Harold Wayne Cryer, 86, of Chapin, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Born in Rosepine, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Henry Cryer and Bertie Midkiff Cryer. For over 40 years, he worked as a switchman for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a Christian man and was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. Harold was a great husband and a fantastic dad.
Surviving are his three sons who all served in the U.S. military, Ralph Cryer (Marietta) of Virginia Beach, VA, Allen Cryer (Gabrielle) of Belton, TX, and Terry Cryer (Catina) of Chapin, SC; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Doris Wayne Cryer.
