Hazel "Toby" Shaw Watts

Hazel (Toby) Shaw Watts, 86, answered the Lord’s call for her to come home on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital. She was born on September 28, 1928 in Gilford County, North Carolina. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 29th at the Chapin United Methodist Church, 415 Lexington Avenue, Chapin, SC. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 pm at the church. “Toby” was a member of the Chapin United Methodist Church and their Black Sheep Sunday School class. She will be remembered fondly for her homemade candies, cakes and paintings she generously shared. She was even more lavish with her smiles and prayers for everyone she encountered. Toby was predeceased by her loving husband John W Watts. She was 1 of 9 children. She is survived by her 5 children, Frank Doby (Shirley), Paula Faler (Warren), Tony Doby (Debbie), Vicki Felts (Richard), Linda Shepard and 2 step-daughters, Katherine Bullock (Robert) and Julie Pastelak (Christopher); 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 special friends, Joanne (Gary) Brucker and Charlotte Slater. The family would like to thank Parkridge 4th Floor staff and Hospice for their exceptional care. Memorials may be made to Chapin United Methodist Church.
