

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the chapel at Heritage at Lowman Home.
John was born November 27, 1932 in Spartanburg one of eight children to Oscar and Medith Dillard. John served his country proudly as a Jet Pilot in the Air Force. He was the recipient of a Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and retired from Michelin Tire. After retirement, John found a second career teaching Engineering at Spartanburg Community College. After his second retirement he enjoyed living on Lake Murray. John enjoyed camping with his family and motorcycling across the country.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Jo Ann Dillard; two children, Wesley Dillard (Debra), Lori Hall (David); five grandchildren, Tori Helton (Stephen), Baron Hall (Ashton), Colton Hall, David Carter, Alex Carter (Beth); and three great grandchildren, Tristan, Hannah and Cam.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Heritage at Lowman Home and Lutheran Hospice.
