Joseph (Joe) Richard King of Columbia, SC passed away on Saturday, 10/11/25. He is survived by his wife, Selene Reyes, his son, Gabriel King (Makayla) of Columbia, his sister, Wendy King Graham (Chris) of Cayce, and his brother John King and his two nieces, Annabelle & Addison King. Likely annoyed at his early arrival in heaven were his parents, Richard and Susan King. His grandparents Richard & Betty King, and Gerald and Lorraine Lavelle also welcomed him home.
Joseph's ability to live life on his terms and his heart of gold brought joy to many lives. He was an excellent cook, tinkerer, breaker of stuff, and over the road trucker. He loved his family fiercely. He never turned down a good time and was a loyal friend. He will be missed by all that got to spend time with him.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held in his honor at Dunbar Funeral Home - Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063 on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
