

CHAPIN - Mrs. Eleanor Judith Wrenn Fair, 72, of Chapin, South Carolina passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 surrounded by many members of her loving family. From her birth in Greensboro, NC on April 28, 1944 to her death on Thursday, Judy was a light in this world through her generosity of spirit and faith. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Eleanor Wrenn and one of five sisters. Judy was a devoted wife, mother of three and grandmother to six grandchildren who adored her. In her younger life, she was a ballroom dance instructor and competitor. As a graduate of Anderson College she had a long, wonderful career as an Executive Assistant at Steele Heddle, Suitt Construction Company, C&S Bank and Bank of America. Of all the things she enjoyed in life, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the most important. Mrs. Fair is survived by her husband, Mr. Gregory Lee Fair; daughters, Tracy Fair O’Neill (Kevin), Alison Fair Lake (Chris), and Jennifer Fair Boyd; grandchildren, Maeve O’Neill, Wrenn Lake, Morgan Boyd, Michael Lake, Gavin O’Neill, and Ryan O’Neill. Also surviving are her sisters, JoAnn Wrenn, Sue Burbach (George), Miriam Thomas (Michael); brother-in-law, Melvin Owens; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. Her sister, Joyce Owens preceded her in death. The family will greet friends on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive in Greenville, S.C. Pastor Jeff Kersey will officiate the service with the burial to follow immediately at Woodlawn. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Fair attended and loved Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church Children and Youth Ministries where Mrs. Fair’s grandchildren attend, 1205 Old Cherokee Rd., Lexington SC 29072.
