LaRue Addy Snyder

IRMO - Services for LaRue Addy Snyder, 73, will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025, with a visitation at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church and funeral at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mrs. Snyder’s life with a meal and fellowship in the church hall immediately following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.

LaRue Addy Snyder, wife of James Michael Snyder, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 11, 2025. Born in Irmo, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lilla E. Addy and Henry Julian Addy. She was employed with Thomas & Howard Co. for over 35 years.

LaRue enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and was a caregiver for many people. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was active in many fellowship committees throughout her life.

Surviving are daughters, Coleen Thompson (Homer Thompson) of Lake Wylie, SC and Hedda Bell (John-Mark Bell) of Irmo, SC; son, Carlos Snyder of Irmo, SC.; her grandchildren, Nicholas Bell, Zoe Bell, Jack Bell, Makenzie Thompson, Avery Thompson, Reagan Thompson, Tucker Thompson, and Palmer Thompson; her sister, Janelle Addy Catlett (Al Catlett) of Charlottesville, VA, and their children, Ryan Catlett and Andrew Catlett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1028 St. John’s Road, Irmo, SC 29063.
