Leon Fuller Chastain

LITTLE MOUNTAIN - A graveside service for Leon Fuller Chastain, 81, will be held at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1659 Kershaw Hwy., Camden, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, with Masonic Rites at 11:30 a.m., at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow Street, Irmo, S.C.

Mr. Chastain passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Born in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Floyd Leon Chastain and Lucille Fuller Chastain. He worked for Allied Chemical (Shaw Industries) from 1962 to 2004 until he retired after 42 years of service. Leon was a member of the Lions Club in Prosperity, SC and the Pomaria Masonic Lodge 151 in Peak SC. He was also a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church in Peak, SC. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and scuba diving.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Allen Chastain of Little Mountain, SC; son, Mark Chastain of New Holland, SC; daughter, Kathy Chastain of Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren, David Shealy (Julia) of Aiken, SC; and Jennifer Hooks (Tim) of Richmond Hill, GA, and four great-grandchildren.
