Memorial Service for Lorraine Wood O’Connor, 90, will be conducted at two o’clock on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. O’Connor passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. Born in Greenwich, CT, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Iverson Wood. She married the late John Edward O’Connor in Rye, NY and together they raised their family. They retired to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where Mrs. O’Connor was a loving nanny to numerous children. She lived in Winder, GA prior to moving to Irmo, and was a resident of Carolina Gardens of Harbison. Mrs. O’Connor was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.
Surviving are her children, Linda Tumm (Michael), David O’Connor (Anne), Cindy Ciaccio; grandchildren, Michael Tumm, Kevin Tumm, Rachael O’Connor, Daniel O’Connor, Andrew Ciaccio, Tyler O’Connor and Adam Ciaccio. She is also survived by her brother, Walter Wood; sisters, Dorothy Briganti, Marion Milazzo, and Audrey Crawford.
