His father taught him the game at an early age and he played for Spartanburg Methodist where he attended college. He continued to play golf every chance he could and had won several tournaments at Mid-Carolina, most recently with his son-in-law, Chris at the “Member Member” Tournament. Blair was a kind, compassionate, and caring son and brother, a loving father, and beloved “Grandpillow.” He was looking forward to the wedding of his youngest daughter, Ashlee and the birth of his second grandchild.

Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are his daughters, Malissa Wilson Etheredge and husband, Chris, Ashlee Wilson and fiancé, Dylan Bruemmer; granddaughter, Clara Lee Etheredge; brothers, Randy Wilson (Carol), Lane Wilson (Patricia), and Dan Wilson. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Derrall and Harriet Kinard, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dear Blair, Still miss you and love you. Wish you were here so I could talk some sense into you! Mom doesn't ask why every day like she used to, but thinks about it a lot. She says that one of the last things you said was that you were going to lose everything! Referring to possessions and money. My buddy. You didn't lose 'benjamins', just the most treasured things of all...... Lisa, Malissa, Ashlee, Clara and Cooper. There are countless others too. Blow mom and them all kisses. Whisper that you love them when the gentle breeze blows. Let them feel YOUR hugs with every blanket in Winter and every life jacket in Summer. Tell Paw-Paw that we love him and miss him too!

There are few people who could make you feel as good by just being around them as Blair could. So many adventures, most of them years ago, that I will always remember. God bless Lisa and all of Blair's family.

Blair was one of the nicest people I've ever known. I knew him when he was with VCS Security and when he was in the Test Unit. Always enjoyed being in his company. My prayers will be with you all.
