Myra M. Boozer

Funeral service for Myra M. Boozer, 89, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Ascension Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Mrs. Boozer passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

Born in Fairfield County, she was the only child of the late Sylvester and Elizabeth “Lizzie” McKeown. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Boozer. Mrs. Boozer was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was a 1943 graduate of Great Falls High School and received her BA Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1946. Mrs. Boozer and her husband, Ed, were owners and operators of Boozer Electric.

Surviving are sons, Edward F. Boozer, Jr. (Maggie Malik), John Boozer (Lisa), Robert Boozer; grandchildren, Adam, Lindsay, Morgan, Lizabeth, Maddie, and Grayce. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Zack. She was preceded in death by a son, William R. “Billy” Boozer; and daughter, Beth Boozer Lea.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, 827 Wildwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29203.
