COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Shirley Ann Sherr, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sherr died on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born in Timmonsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Orville Lee Dorris and Mary Marguerite Dorris. She attended Dental College of Georgia in Augusta and worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Ray Richardson and Dr. Richard Huckaba. Shirley was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, where she served in the Altar Guild. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending plays at Town Theatre with her friends.
Surviving are her husband, Robert F. Sherr; son, Robert T. Sherr (Kristie); grandsons, Allen and Carter Sherr; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Lee Fowler.
