Steven A. Jones D.C.

Steve was born July 20, 1959 in Rockford, Illinois, to JoAnn Jacobson Jones and the late Dr. Kenneth Jones. He died May 31, 2015, in West Columbia. Steve graduated from Buchanan High School in Michigan and from Life Chiropractic College in Georgia. He was a dedicated chiropractor who worked under his father, Dr. Kenneth Jones, until he opened Chiropractic Lifestyles in 1991. For 24 years, Steve served his community with dedication and compassion. He was a member of the South Carolina State Board of Examiners for the South Carolina Chiropractic Association and served as Chairman of the K.R. Jones Philosophy Forum through 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Kinsi and Christopher Near, Mercedes and Austin Stone, Zack and Tiffany Swygert, Rex Swygert (Kyle Pysher); granddaughters, Lucy and Maggie Near and Leah Swygert; mother, JoAnn Jones; brothers, Dr. William Jones and Dr. Gary Jones; sisters, Kristin Jones Wilkins and Dr. Kathryn Jones-McCaw. He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Jones and his father, Dr. Kenneth Jones.

The family would especially like to thank the staffs at Lexington Medical Center – Oncology and Compassionate Care Hospice.
