Born on June 13, 1951 in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Vennie Mack, Sr. and Cleo Webb Mack.
Buddy was an excellent deer hunter with many trophies. He was also a fisherman. Buddy loved working in his yard and had Yard of the Month. He was a Clemson fan.
Buddy was loved by God. Despite years of battling MS, he never waivered in his love for his wife and family. God blessed him by passing peacefully at home with his wife and cats.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Brenda Kay Mack; second mother, Opal M. Varney; brothers, Mike Mack, Bob Varney (Cathy), Bill Varney (Linda), and sister, Linda Barber (Billy); nieces and nephews, Jason C. Mack, Daniel Mack, Bobby Varney, John Varney, Ben Varney, Jennifer Vennett, Adam Barber, Michelle Steinbauch, and Laura Varney.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his second father, Billie J. Varney; brother, Johnny Mack; and nephew, Chris Varney.
A Celebration of Life service has been postponed and will be held at a date to be determined.
