COLUMBIA - A Memorial Service for William Andrew “Andy” Dickinson, Jr., 70, will be held at a later date in Roanoke, VA. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, assisted the family. Andy passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. Born in Roanoke, VA, he was a son of the late William Andrew Dickinson and Nancy Ring Dickinson. After his service in the US Navy, Andy enjoyed a career as the former Administrator at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Brandon Oaks in Roanoke, VA. Following his retirement, he relocated to Irmo, SC to enjoy his days with his wife, Debi. Surviving are his wife, Deb Simmons Wright Dickinson; son, William Andrew “Drew” Dickinson III. (Erin); daughter, Laura Dickinson (Pete) Shand; grandchildren, William Andrew “Billy” Dickinson, IV, Dylan Michael Shand, Ryan Matthew Dickinson, Kamryn Brooke Shand; brother, Michael W. Dickinson; sister, Adele D. (Bill) Mitchell; extended family, Susie and Dale Oakey and Jason and Lisa Oakey. He is also survived by his “little doggy” Jack.
