Ayanna Kelila Alim Stewart

Ayanna Kelila Alim Stewart (Yanni) was born at W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Michigan on Sunday, March 13, 1977. She was the second child of Fred L. Stewart and L. Jean Stewart. She departed this life early to go home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Ayanna attended Jackson Public Schools and had united with Second Baptist Church as a child. She thoroughly enjoyed the sports of basketball, soccer and football. She resided in Columbus, Ohio for 16 years, however, she had recently relocated to Tampa, Florida to resume her education. She was excited about making a new start in life. She was gifted with the talent of computer usage, and loved her time on the equipment. Her favorite song was "Please Be Patient With Me, God Is Not Through With Me Yet". Ayanna will be remembered by her four children, Dondianna, Denika, DaQuez and Deja; parents, Fred and Jean Stewart; sister, Lisa A. Hampton of Muskegon, Michigan; grandmother, Mildred I. Brown of Jackson, Michigan; niece, Kamila Hampton of Muskegon, Michigan; nephew, Jevon Hampton of Muskegon, Michigan; special cousins, Gregory and Vernon Thomas of Houston, Texas; aunts and uncles, Mikel S. Brown (Darice) of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Michelle Hearron (Alexis) of Jackson, Michigan, Vernon Stewart (Sheryon) of Lancaster, California, Charles Stewart of Jackson, Michigan, Evelyn Woods of Jackson, Michigan, Shirley Stewart of Jackson, Michigan, Verda Hunter of Houston, Texas, Virginia McCann (Mack) of Flint, Michigan, Patsy Ellis (Donque) of Jackson, Michigan, and Rose Stewart of Toledo, Ohio. Ayanna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Rufus C. Brown, and her grandfather and grandmother, William V. Stewart and Cora Stewart. Ayanna will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for her family and life. She will always be loved and remain in our hearts forever. A celebration of her life will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at the Greater Bible Way Temple of the Apostolic Faith with family hour at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.
