Of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones, on Sunday, October, 20, 2013, age 66. Billie was born in Jackson, Michigan on July 2, 1947 to the late William and Audrey Howard and later married to James R. Veit. They were married twenty-six years. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids; she also enjoyed her two dogs, Bella and Kashton (Bob). Billie is survived by husband, Jim; two children, son, Ricky (Kim) Smith of Jackson, Michigan, daughter, Lisa (Lance) Ervin of Georgetown, Kentucky;, two stepchildren, Blair Veit of Lake, Michigan and Dina (Eric) Peek of Brooklyn, Michigan; five grandchildren, Audrey, Kyle, Ethan, Daniel and Eric; great-grandson, Kabriel; sister, Janice Jones and brother, Mike Howard; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Billie is preceded in death by mother, Audrey and father, William. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and memorial service will be held at the funeral home Saturday October 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
