Elder C. Arthur “Buddy” Crenshaw, age 79, was taken from this life on October 27, 2021.
He continues to wait patiently on the Lord as he sleeps, waiting to be called by the Lord to go home in glory.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (I Thessalonians 4:14)
C. Arthur was born on October 3, 1942, in Greenville, Alabama, to Clate Crenshaw and Elnora (Dunklin) Crenshaw. C. Arthur was preceded in death by father Clate Crenshaw, Mother Elnora Crenshaw, son Michah Paul Crenshaw, sisters Sally Mae Crenshaw, Virgie Bogan, Floree Crenshaw, Estherlene Ridgeway, Frankie Belle Smith, Lola Ray, Jewel Peterson, Mary Arnold, and brothers Calvin, Clate, R.G. He committed his hard work, service, and loyalty as a delivery service driver for the Detroit Free Press and as a Service worker with Da Swa Tree Farms. He went on to establish his own business, Arts Floor and Cleaning Service, in the late 1980s.
C. Arthur devoted his life to God, becoming a member of Omega Temple Church with his wife, Rachel. He served as a deacon until called upon to preach the word of God. In answering God's call, he became an ordained pastor. C. Arthur made his transition to Bethlehem Temple Church in the early 2000s, where he served as an Elder until his passing.
C. Arthur will be remembered by many for his kind heart; magnetic presence but most of
all, he will be remembered for his love and strong faith in God and his
devotion to his church and family. He will genuinely be missed by all whose
life he had encountered, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those he left behind.
Rest in Peace, Daddy; we love you.
“My steps are getting shorter…my time is winding up, but my trust is in the Lord.”
