

Of Spring Arbor, Michigan, passed away July 3rd 2025, at Brightside Assisted Living and Memory Care at the age of 68. Cara was born in Hancock, Michigan on January 17th 1957, the daughter of William and Isabelle (Stam) Stille. She was preceded in death by her mother Isabelle and her son-in-law Ken Bolick.
Cara is survived by her husband of 49 years Michael, daughters, Isabelle (Ken), Margaret, her father William, brother, Mark (Mary) and sister, Ellen (Mark).
Cara graduated from Parkside High in 1975, was married in 1976, and moved to Germany with her husband Mike. She became a registered nurse upon returning to the US, earning her degree from Jackson Community College in 1982. She worked at Hancock Hospital, and later, was the Director of Nursing at Vista Grande Villa for 15 years. In addition to being a loving mother, nurse, and spouse, Cara was a mentor to many future nurses and CNAs, a Girl Scout leader, and spent time caring for her parents. She also loved birds, cats, and crossword puzzles. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
The Edger family would like to thank the staff at Brightside Assisted Living and Memory Care, and Gentiva Hospice for their care and compassion during her final weeks. In keeping with Cara’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
After a private ceremony, a celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, July 25,
