It's been 6 years since I lost my grandfather.  Sometimes I listen to a song, and it reminds me of him. Then I start to get memories of the good times we've spent together. He would always push me on the swings in his backyard. He'd play cards with me. And he would take me on walks around the block. The best part of it was. He was always happy. He loved his family. That's who he is. I can't imagine life without him. He made my life full of happiness. I miss him so much. Every life he touched, he created happiness in it. I miss being able to talk to him about my day.  I'm now 15. I can't imagine how long ago he died. But I do know that he's always loved. Rest in Peace Papa.

I still miss this guy. Became friends way back in the 1980s with the Jackson Area Commodore Computer Club...man, those were the days!  I can't say I ever heard the man utter a bad word about anyone. 

No man is indispensable, but some men are irreplaceable...and that describes Tony. 

Being his grandson, I can tell you that I miss him more and more every day. They say things will get better with time, but they don't. I miss all the times that I would spend the night and he and I would fall asleep on the couch. I miss all the times we'd watch WWE Friday night Smackdown. I miss all the times we would go fishing on portage lake. I remember the times we'd road trip to Canada and go camping. I miss all the times he and I would just sit behind a service desk at Digilink. He was one of the greatest men I've ever known. It always gets more and more difficult around this time of year. It's almost been two years. It gets more and more heavy as you see the pain start to show on your mother's face after the mere mention of him. I miss him more and more every day. He truly is the greatest man I've ever met.

Being his grandson, I can tell you, almost two years after the loss of this amazing man, my body and mind still ache at the loss of my grandfather. I still think of this man daily and remember those Friday nights when we'd stay up and watch WWE Smackdown, just the two of us.I remember fishing out on Portage lake and our road trips to campgrounds in Canada. I remember how him teaching me how to drive a boat, from a simple boat with an on-board motor to a pontoon. And yes, he was a swing pushing extraordinaire. This man is possibly the greatest man I've ever met.

I am sorry to hear of Carl's passing on.  I loss track of Tony after HS graduation. I always liked Tony and his independence in life.  I was surprised to read he also was in the Navy.  The military has a way of maturing an individual and setting future direction.  Looks like Tony did well in family and business. Very sorry for your loss. James W Kolp

Love and prayers to Tony's family during their loss and grief.  Tony and I met in 1971 at JOH, Sally was there, too.  Over the years we shared some friends and he introduced me to new ones.  One of whom was Dave Kalen.  They work In the lab at Foote by then.  Thank you Tony for your friendship over the years and for helping to make my life wonderful with Dave.   You will be missed. . .always smiling, working hard and loving life.  God Bless.

I had known tony since 1983 at doctors hosp, as well as receiving excellent service at Digilink and great reminiscing .  he also loved telling me about his grandchildren. he will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I use to work with Tony in the lab and he then worked on my computer.  He was such a generous man.  Always a kind word.  I know how much he loved working with the Digi Guys and how proud he was with his work and family.  Heaven received a great man.

I was shocked when my wife informed me of Tony's passing. This is truly a loss for everyone whose life ever touched his. A giving man with a lot of heart. Tony, you are going to be missed, buddy.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

 Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
 Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
 That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
 God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

 It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

 God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not  be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My thoughts are with you Sally on your loss of Tony he was a great guy to know!

Our thoughts & prayers go out to the Bengel family. I worked in the Lab when Tony was there, and both my spouse & I knew Tony thru his computer work. Tony's wonderful smile, wonderful laugh, and big, warm heart will be imprinted in the memory of everyone who knew him. RIP. Sue & Henry Comperchio

I'm so shocked and saddened to hear about Tony.  My very deepest regrets to his family at this very difficult time.  I remember many nights when Tony would bring his homemade wine out to visit with my husband and myself.......this was many, many years ago when we were all young and foolish.

When I think of Chapin st. one of the first families that comes to mind is the Bengels...I loved to play at your house as a kid..your mom and dad were like my mom and dad. I am sorry for your loss, may Tony rest in peace.

RIP Tony.  I remember when we were younger and the "older" Bengel boys would try to scare us while we were watching the Wizard of Oz at Uncle Cliff and Aunt Lucille's.  Anne and Kathy would have their hands full trying to settle us all back down after Tony, Jimmy and Arnie got us all buzzed up! Hugs to the whole family!
