Daphanie Dorreen Dunbar

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the age of 64. She is survived by her daughter Nayombi (Ray); granddaughter, Ja'Naysha; sister, Deidre; very special friends, Daryl Boyd, Karen Allen, and Peggy Uncapher. Daphanie was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Dunbar; mother, Naomi Langford and brother, Bobby Darrin Langford. Daphanie attended Jackson Public School and was a 1974 graduate of Jackson High School. She also attended Western University. She worked at Sears, and the Community Normalization as a Direct Care worker. Daphanie was able to see her granddaughter's 18th birthday and High School Graduation, as well as looking forward to Ja'Naysha's graduation party. Ms. Dunbar will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, July 15, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. In keeping with Covid-19 guidelines, visitors will be reminded to practice social distancing and wear a face mask. Nayombi and Ja'Naysha would like to thank cousins, Tanya Padgett, Regina Byrum and Bobbyenette Westbrook for their love, help, support and courage during their time of sorrow. They would also like to acknowledge the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Health Care for the kind and compassionate care they had provided.
