Of Jackson, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Yvonne Metcalf and a son, Jim Metcalf. He is survived by three children, Darlene (Chris) Lazarus, Ann (Wade Snyder) Metcalf and Delbert (Paula) Metcalf; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; daughter in-law, Tami Metcalf as well as special friend, Barb Shanks. Delbert retired from Napoleon School district after many years of service as a custodian and was a member of the F.O.E 612. He loved his family and his friends were just as important to him. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Monday, August 19, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home for a memorial visitation. There will be a Lodge of Sorrow Service conducted at 7:00 p.m. According to his wishes cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers contributions to assist with final expenses will be appreciated.
