Of Vandercook Lake passed away at home on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Negus; son, Tommy Negus; daughter, Teresa Crawford; two grandchildren, Duane Hoenes and Sandra Plank. She is survived by two sons, Dave Negus and Dennis (Joann) Negus; seven grandchildren, Randy (Denise) Hoenes, David (Jodi) Negus, Troy Negus, Kirk Negus, Dennis Jr. (Lori) Negus, Todd Negus and Lisa Linton; seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She graduated from Jackson High, married and raised a family in Vandercook. She spent her working career in the service industry. She was employed at the Galley Lunch, Win Schuler’s Restaurant and retired from Gilberts Steak House after 40 years of service. A celebration of her life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodland Cemetery.
