Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 73. He was born on November 13, 1952, in Fort Meade, Maryland to Ken and Arlene (Ulrich) Stoddard. Douglas is survived by his wife of 46 years, Katie (Shoemaker) Stoddard; children, Doug (Wendy) Stoddard and Kathie Stoddard; grandchildren, Josh Niceswander, Logan and Jacob Kellogg, Zac Niceswander, Caden and Hannah Stoddard, Easton and Joz Stoddard, and Kevin Stoddard; great-grandchildren, Holden, Weston, and Elliotte; siblings, Ken (Ruth), Wendy (Cary), Linda (Mike), and Mark (Kay); and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and great-grandson, Weston Stoddard. Douglas always believed his biggest accomplishment was his family. He also loved doing construction. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching sports, especially the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan sports. He loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will celebrate his life on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Gene Davis & Sons Catering, (3575 Francis Street, Jackson) at 1:00 PM.
