Frederick “Fred” Radant of Jackson, MI passed away peacefully at the Allegiance Hospice Home with his family by his side on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the age of 74. He is now resting comfortably in the loving arms of Jesus. Fred was born January 9, 1947. The son of Frederick Radant and Clara (Mills) Radant and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Paula (Suzie) Radant. He is survived by his children, Paul Radant, Mary (Kathy) Schoening, Carla Jeffery, David Radant, Linda Hammer and grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind his brothers; Gary, Doug and Gayle Radant. Fred grew up on a farm and attended Adrian High School. He then enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge he worked as a machine operator at Federal Screw Works for 32 years before eventually retiring. Fred and Suzie had a great passion for genealogy research and created books for many families tracing ancestries back hundreds of years. He also was a handyman around the house and loved planting flowers in the yard. He loved God, Family, Country, cats and Coke Cola. A graveside service will be held where Fred will be laid to rest with Military Honors beside his wife at Highland Cemetery (Monroe Pike Road) in Brooklyn, MI at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
