Departed this life November 29, 2011 under the loving care of his family and Hospice. He was born January 24, 1926 in Battle Creek, MI. He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Shelia and Sharon Maxwell of Indianapolis, IN, Norita (Jimmy) Jarrett and Stephanie (Gary) Pickens; eight sons, Terry D. Fleeks, Michael (Diana), Kenneth, Kevin, Jeffrey, Patrick (Wendy), Brian (Karen) and George L. Maxwell IV; twenty-six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; special nieces, Dawn and Denise Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Leota Maxwell; his wife, Juanita L. Maxwell; brother Delbert D. Maxwell; daughter, Deborah C. Maxwell and son, Brian Maxwell. George served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held.
