Jaime Antonio Medina

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaime, who left this world on Thursday, February 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved partner, father, stepfather, son, uncle, grandfather and friend, whose kindness, humor and strength touched the lives of so many.

Jaime was born on June 6, 1960 in Jackson Michigan to Jesus Medina and Angeline (Veldez) Medina. From an early age, he carried a deep love for his family. He embraced life with a generous heart, always putting others before himself. As a stepfather, he gave unwavering love and guidance, proving that family is built on love rather than blood. As a son and uncle, he was a source of strength and joy with a helping hand. His life was filled with hard work, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple moments that truly mattered. Even in the face of illness, he showed immense courage, reminding us all of the power of resilience and love. He is preceded in death by his long time partner who he joins in heaven Marissa Stoyanovitch; and his sister Regina. Jaime is survived by his daughters Hannah Courtney-Medina, Tara Stoyanovitch, Siera Cornell, and Krystal Stoyanovitch. His grand daughters Lia, Sofia and Mia Stoyanovitch, and Evangeline Cornell, his parents Jesus and Angeline Medina, his siblings Nora, Marc, and Julie, many nieces and nephews; countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A celebration of Jaime’s life will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church (120 E. Wesley St. Jackson, MI 49201) at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior to service. Jaime will be laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to his family.

His love, wisdom, humor, and warmth will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
