

Deacon James Mallory was born to the late Charlie and Alice Mallory on May 9, 1925 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2014 at home surrounded by family. He went to school in Arkansas and moved to Jackson in the early 50’s. He was married to the late Alice Ann Delph Mallory until her death in 1972. He retired with thirty years of service with Michigan Diecast Company. He was a faithful man of God and a dedicated deacon of Bethesda Church of God in Christ, under the Pastorship of Elder Tony Lyons. He had two favorite songs, “I’m Gonna Trust in the Lord” and “He Never Left Me Alone”. His favorite scripture was II Timothy 4:7-8. Deacon Mallory was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Alice Mallory; his wife, Alice Ann Delph Mallory; two daughters, Irene Brown and Ruby Jones; four sons, Benjamin, Henry, David and ET Delph. He leaves to cherish his memories his grandchildren: Willie (Bishop Oscar) Walters and Alice Harris both of Jackson, Willie Brown, Jr. of Indianapolis, Ruby (Elder Michael) Duncan and Helen Boxley of Jackson, Pastor Robert (Terrikay) Brown of Ohio, Pastor Arthur (Ann) Brown of Ypsilanti, Pastor Michael (Pamela) Brown, Mary Brown and Earnest Matthews all of Jackson, James L. Matthews of Colorado, Diane (Bobby) Howard of Jackson, Tyrone Jones of Colorado, Derek (Cathy) Jones of California, Paulette (Roland) Dohahue and Linda Leverette of Detroit, Dona Jones of Texas, Gail House of Maryland, Betty Delph (Billy) Johnson of Flint, Maxcine Delph of California, Tommy (Beverly) Delph of Missouri, John Pharms of Jackson and James Delph of Arkansas; fifty-five great grandchildren; one hundred twelve great great grandchildren and forty seven great great great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Teressa Delph of Jackson; a very special friend, Sis. Eddie McGuire of Jackson and a host of great nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at Faith Temple Word of Faith Ministries, Monday March 10, 20145 at 12:00 p.m. with family hour starting at 11:00 a.m. Viewing Sunday 2 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Burial Woodland Cemetery.
