Of Rives Junction, passed away at the age of 92, on Thursday, October 19, 2023 while under the kind and compassionate care of the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, LG Hendershot. She will be remembered by her three sons, Larry (Connie), Jonathan and Mark Hendershot; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; sister, Ginger Hay as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Jean was born in Jackson, Michigan at Foote Hospital on April 30, 1931 to Chester and Lora Surbrook. After graduating from Leslie High School she married LG Hendershot and together they raised a family in Rives Junction. She retire as Vice President of Comerica Corp. after many years of service. She touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed. According to her wishes there will be a private family service and she will be laid to rest beside her husband at East Rives Cemetery.
