Of Springport, Michigan passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 86. John was born on January 1, 1940, to parents Thoburn and Edna Cattell. He was raised in Michigan Center, Michigan, where he graduated in 1958. John then married Nancy Wing on July 16, 1963. John became a successful businessman who owned and ran Aero Space in Grass Lake, Michigan for 15 years. He was an active hunter, fisherman, and loved being outside and taking long walks. John leaves behind his wife of 65 years Nancy Cattell; children Jeff Cattell and Tammy Cattell; grandchildren Kip Cattell and Serena Cattell; and four great-grandchildren Sophie, Allison, Lily, and Presley. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:00PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park Old Chapel (behind main office) (1425 North Elm Road Jackson Michigan) with visitation at 12:00PM until time of service. John will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
