John A. Horn

Of Jackson, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dana Horn; children, Jon-Paul Horn and Taylor Horn; siblings, Steve (Pat) Horn, Mike (Marie) Horn, Paula Golombeski, Sara (Kevin) Dorr, David Stralnic, Phillip Stralnic and Sherri Hopson; step-parents, Paul Stralnic and Mamie Horn; aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Richard Daily as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by infant twin children, Helen and Elsie Horn and his parents, John Horn and Matilda Stralnic. After graduating from Vandercook Lake High School he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He returned to Jackson, where he raised his family. John worked as a hairdresser at the Second Look for many years. He was actively employed at Allegiance Health. John enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. A service honoring his life will be at the funeral home on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. followed by military honors. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service for visitation.
