

Passed away after a long courageous battle with brain cancer, on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the age of 16. In addition to her parents, Kimberly VanSyckle and Charles (Christi Vogel) VanSyckle and Michael Smalley she leaves to cherish her memory brothers, Brandon Strickler, Dylan VanSyckle, Zachary (Brittney Swihart) VanSyckle; special boyfriend, Charles Kilgore; nephews, Kaden, Noah, Rohnan; special aunts and uncles, Shawne and Greg Bannerman, Brenda and Larry Chrisman, Ray and Sherie Luckadoo, Robin Luckadoo, Joi and Carlos Villa; grandparents, Roger and Debra Jonas, Denver and Eve Luckadoo, Doris Trumble; Barbara Smalley; Special Fairy Godmothers, Jeanie Musser, Theresa Dancer and Kary Swiontek; besties, Abby, Heavan, Kyle, Skyler, Carlee, Jessica and Madii; step-sisters, Amelia and Lauren as well as many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruth A. Luckadoo and grandfather, William Trumble. The family would like to acknowledge Helen Kimmel, Pam Ray, Debbie Peters from Friends Who Care, Ann Arbor Hospice, Cottage Inn Pizza and the East Jackson Community for their kind and compassionate care and support for Jordyn and her family. Jordyn participated in cheerleading, worked at Cottage Inn Pizza enjoyed Rockapalooza and was the best aunt ever, to her nephews. She touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. A service honoring her life will be held at East Jackson High School on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00A.M until the time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions to Jordyn VanSyckle memorial fund at 5/3rd Bank to assist with final expenses or Angels of Hope (angelsofhope.org) will be appreciated.
