Kenneth Taliaferro

Of Jackson, MI passed away on March 26, 2017 at the age of 87. Ken was born on April 11, 1929 to Robert and Bessie Taliaferro in Jackson, MI. Ken married the love of his life Gloria on July 1, 1950 in Indiana. He worked for Clark Equipment as a blacksmith tool hardener for 31 years. Ken was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for 40 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and bowler. Ken served his country in the Army in the Korean War. Ken is survived by his daughters, Rosemary (Dan) Jayne and Karen (Jack) Worden; nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Taliaferro, Elmer Price, and Rita (John) Valier; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gloria; and five siblings. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Reverend Ryan Prondzinski officiating. Visitation Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Ken will be laid to rest next to his wife at Roseland Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be given to Ken at Roseland Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christ Lutheran Church (4250 Page Ave, Michigan Center, MI, 49254).
