

Leanna Sauve Palmer passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2025. She lived a full and beautiful life, defined by love, compassion, and a deep dedication to those around her. Above all else, Leanna was a devoted mother to her two beloved daughters, Annabelle and Lainey, and a loving wife to her husband and best friend, Cory. Her family was her heart, and she poured her love and energy into every moment spent with them. Leanna was proud to serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Jackson County ISD, where she worked with people of all ages. Her work wasn’t just a job—it was a calling. She believed in each and every person she worked with, and her passion touched countless lives. She was also a cherished friend to many, known for her vibrant spirit, quick smile, and unwavering support.
Leanna is survived by her husband Cory; daughters Annabelle and Lainey; her parents Todd (Sandee) Morris, Susanne (Michael) Taylor, and Larry "Pops" (Kellie) Palmer; Pam (Jeff) Parker; siblings Daniel (Amanda) Morris and children, Colton and Presleigh; Joy Taylor; Katy Taylor and children, Ava, Beatrice, and Francis; David Taylor and son John. She is also survived by her grandmother Barbara Morris and grandmother Anne Sauve, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins: James (Sharon) Morris, Betty Jean (Dave) Bakutis, Elaine (Frank) Pierce, Anthony (Michell) Sauve, Rick (Kathy) Riskey, Penny Ford, Susan (Steve) Gilbert, Judy (Randy) Ford, Steve (Shellie) Taylor, and cousin Rosie—whose newborn shares Lainey’s birthday. She also leaves behind her daughters’ godparents, Feather and Mercedes Castillo, and a wide circle of extended family and friends she held close to her heart. Leanna followed in passing her grandfathers James Morris, Thomas Sauve, George Taylor, and William Riskey; her grandmothers Marcia Taylor and Barbara Riskey; her uncle Keith Riskey and aunt Deborah Morris.

Grand Rapids visitation May 8 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance chapel 3525 Remembrance Rd NW, Walker, MI 49534. Funeral mass at the Basilica of St Adalbert, 654 Davis NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544 May 9, 11 am, visitation at church 10 am until mass; luncheon following.
Leanna's life was a testament to kindness, strength, and love. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered always.
