Of Jackson, Michigan passed away Monday February 5, 2024 under the kind and compassionate care of Henry Ford staff after a month battle with illness. He will be remembered by his beloved wife, Madeline Ann Proseus; two children, Bryan Denning and Malissa Denning; brother, Mark Proseus; and numerous friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lon and Jean Proseus; grandmother and grandfather, Hazel and Leo Proseus; and brother, Curt Proseus. Lee was born to Lon and Jean Proseus on September 14, 1951. Within his first year of life, he lost his mother and was immediately under Grandmother Hazel’s wing, whom he affectionately called “Ma”. He graduated from Northwest High School and obtained a business degree shortly thereafter. Lee went on to work for Jacobson’s, where he spent his career in the warehouse until its close. Before his 30th birthday, he met Madeline Ann at a birthday party, and discovered love at first sight. The two were quickly inseparable and married on November 14, 1981.
Lee collected model cars, enjoyed reading mystery novels, and was a proud Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions fan. Most of all, he loved his family and his dog, Jake. He touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed.
