A lifelong resident of Jackson, MI passed away with family by his side on September 17, 2019. Junior was born on March 28, 1930 to parents Lloyd and Evelyn Stimer. He married Doris J. Stimer in 1957 and was married to her until her death in 1996. He worked as an assembler for Kelsey-Hayes for 42 years. He was a member of the YMCA and enjoyed all sports. Junior was an avid golfer all his life and belonged to the AFL-CIO, local #7670 for 42 years. Junior is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Curtis; grandson Jason Curtis; great-grandchildren Hanna Curtis and Sequoia Curtis; siblings Phyllis Claucherty, Donald (Gerri) Stimer, Larry (Shirley) Stimer; a host of nieces and nephews; significant-other Connie Sumkowski; and his beloved dog “Noma”. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, son Mark S. Stimer, and brother-in-law Robert Claucherty. A celebration of Junior’s life will be held on October 12, 2019 at Hanker Hills Golf Course from 12:00~3:00pm.
