Lottie M. Young

Age 85, passed away on June 26, 2011. Our beloved mother and friend was a life-long resident of Jackson. Lottie will be remembered for her love of people and great sense of humor. She was a proud member of the “Greatest Generation” and after graduation from Jackson High School in 1944; Lottie worked at Goodyear Tire for 10 years before starting her family. She was an enthusiastic sport fan, enjoyed swimming and riding her 3 wheeled bike. With her passing, Jackson’s chamber of tourism has lost a great ambassador. She is survived by her children, Karen of Jackson; Christopher (Susan) of Alexandria, VA; Suzanne (James) Iocca of Tulsa, OK; Peggy Miller of Jackson; Kimberlee of Kansas City, MO; Mary of Minneapolis, MN; Patricia of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Kyle (Jessica); Jessica (Lee); Joshua; Lauren; Steven; Brent; Kevin and Emily; Two great-grandsons; Jossie and Jack. Also survived by special niece Kathleen Hawley Steigerwald, brother, Raymond (Beverly) Jusick; sister-in-laws Catherine Juszczyk and Marilyn Young, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her husband Jack in 1993, brother, Xavier; sisters, Stephanie; Sophie and Stella. Special thanks to Great Lakes Hospice. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial mass in her honor will be held on July 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 711 N. Francis Street, Jackson.
