Louise B. McCarty

Of Jackson went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. McCarty; brothers, Howard and Lester Pond and her sister, Virginia Terrell. Louise leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters, JoAnn (Louis) Bosarge, Carol (Donald) Engel and Phyllis (Roger) Pratt; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; brother, Melvin Pond and sister, Doris (Jim) Withrow; as well as many nieces and nephews. Louise graduated from Jackson High School. She was a proud homemaker; retired from Jackson Public Schools where she worked for many years as a secretary and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She had a strong Christian faith and was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where a memorial service celebrating her life is scheduled on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Erick Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make contributions in her honor to the Church or Allegiance Hospice.
