Mary Jane (Perez) Walker

Of Jackson, passed away February 27, 2018 age 77. Survived by her husband of 38 years, Alan; one daughter, Jennifer (Luke) Smith; two granddaughters, Ashley and Ella; nine siblings, John Perez, Joseph Perez, Delores Childs, Francis Duarte, Rico Perez, Louie Perez, Lana Ruiz, Tim Perez, and Ron Perez; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Emeterio and Louise “Mary” Perez; 1 brother, Victor Perez and 1 sister, Lilly Perez. Mary Jane enjoyed bargain hunting for antiques, sewing, gardening, reading and making crafts. She loved spending time with her two granddaughters. Mary Jane enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her daughter and husband. As the oldest daughter of 11, Mary Jane was like a second mother to her siblings. She will be dearly missed by all. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday March 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Tim Nelson officiating. Burial Woodland Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 5-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
