Pamela Jean Thompson was born November 17, 1954 in Jackson, Michigan to the union of Luther Thompson II and Arme Ree (Jones) Thompson. Pam was educated in the Jackson Public School system, and attended Jackson Community College. She graduated from Siena Heights University on May 4, 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Pam was employed with Novak Engineering, State of Michigan Department of Human Services, the State Prison of Southern Michigan, and most recently with Jackson Intermediate School District. Pam was blessed with two children, who in turn blessed her with grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her youth, Pam attended Lane Memorial C.M.E Church. Later in life she rededicated her life to the LORD and united with Community A.M.E. Church. She later joined Southside Church under the pastorate of Rev. Jeffery Lang. She remained a faithful member of Southside until her passing. Pam loved her Jackson community. She was active with the Jackson County NAACP, Southeast Quest Lions Club, Church Women United, supported Sisters in Ministry, and the Southside Reunion. On Saturday May 13, 2023 the LORD called Pam from her earthly labor. She was preceded in death by her Father, sisters Cheryl Smith & Patricia Thompson, step brother Ricky. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Tomeika Marrai and Damian Hall, her mother Arme Thompson, siblings Renata Thompson, Priscilla Thompson, Louletta Thompson-Sanders, Luther Thompson III, step brothers Mark, Maurice and grandchildren Antione (Kendra) Cox, Jutione Hall, Damian Smith, great grandchildren Zaydeon, Jayvier, & Antione Jr., as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She touched the hearts and lives of many. She will be greatly missed. The Family of Pamela would like to thank Arbor Hospice for their wonderful care, along with the nurses, Tonece Taylor, Franklin Smith and Shamykia Moye. A Homegoing Service will be held at Southside Church (419 E. High Street Jackson, 49203) on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. with a Family Hour at 11:00 until the time of Service. The family will receive friends for visitation at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, 49202) on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M.
