

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2026, at the age of 67. Pam was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 9, 1959, to parents Clarence and Beverly (Austin) Rhoades. She was married to her husband William Tingay for 36 years until his death in 2023. Pam began her working career as a nurse’s aide at Hillsdale County Medical Center and then went to Odd Fellow and Rebecca Home before working at Sparrow Hospital and then Henry Ford Hospital. Pam then went back to school and graduated from Baker College with a bachelor’s degree and began her career at the Michigan Department of Corrections working in medical records. She retired from the Department of Corrections after 22 years of service. First and foremost, her daughter Amanda and dog Lucky were her life. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter to the UP, making many trips there. She loved lighthouses and driving round back roads. Fall was her favorite time of year, and she especially loved celebrating Halloween with her family. Pam never met a stranger. She also enjoyed telling old stories of family and friends. All of her fur babies, including Bruno, Skitty, Bandit, Yoshi, Sprocket, and Luna were precious to her. They were all very much loved and spoiled. She enjoyed going to estate sales and LOVED Keith Urban, who was her favorite. She was absolutely obsessed with him. She also enjoyed the band Journey. Pam is survived by her daughter Amanda Tingay; sister Jackie (Doug) Personius; special niece Kari (Bobby Radziewicz) Chapman; close friend Mary Foster; friends who are family Diane Stephens and Kay Arney; nieces and nephews John Sisk Jr., Angela Sisk, Jason Sisk, Kenneth Murine, and Bradley Murine; great nieces and nephew Sabrina, Kaylee, and Timmy; and great-great nieces and nephews Caleb, Beau, Lilly, Scarlett, and Abe. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William “Bill” Tingay, and nephew Brad Murine. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place with a celebration of Pam’s life to be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan). Family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for expense.
