Patricia Prus

ones, on October 20, 2024. She was 83 years old. Born to Richard and Phyllis Bergmann, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Prus. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (John) Stressman, her stepsons Rick (Joanie) Prus, Jerry Prus, and her grandchildren, Jacob (Jamie) Stressman, Catherine Bailey, and Nick Prus; she loved them without measure. She served as one of Jackson's original emergency dispatch operators when the 911 center was established in the 1970s and proudly retired as a communications operator from the Michigan State Police in 1996. Throughout her life, Patricia demonstrated remarkable resilience, surviving three different cancer diagnoses with grace and strength. Her sense of humor and spirited personality will be deeply missed, She was a cherished sister to Barbara Owings, Rick (Mary) Bergmann, Beverly Damjanac, and Diana Swihart. She held a place in her heart for her nieces and nephew, Charles, Emily, Stephanie, Elizabeth, and their children. Special hugs to Andrea, Melissa, Owen, and Miranda.
