Ralph J. Mitchell Jr.

Of Jackson, passed away peacefully at the age of 79, on Monday, November 25, 2013 while at his home, under the loving care of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Beverly; four children, Deborah (Patrick) Sawyer, Catherine (Pasquale) Simone, Ralph (Karen) Mitchell III and Victoria (Steven ) Bean; ten grandchildren, Christopher (Stefani) Parks, Benjamin (Jennifer) Parks, Jessica (Scott) Biehl, Patrick (Dominika) Sawyer, Daniel (Nicole) Sawyer, Justin (Lindsay) Sawyer, Courtney Mitchell, Zachary Bean, Isaiah (Rachel) Bean and Jacob Bean; several great grandchildren, two brothers, Robert (Jane) Mitchell of Florida and Richard (Kathy) Mitchell of Jackson; two special aunts, Lilie and Grace. Ralph was born September 8, 1934 in Jackson to Ralph and Waneta (VanEpps) Mitchell in Jackson. He graduated from Brooklyn High School and retired from Die Cast Corp. after many years of service. He was a proud hardworking man and adored his family. He will be greatly missed. The Mitchell family would like to acknowledge Beth from Allegiance Hospice for her kind and compassionate care. According to his wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held on December 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at New Life Chapel (3048 S. Portage Rd. Jackson, MI 49201) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Allegiance Hospice.
