Of Jackson, passed away on December 31, 2017 at the age of 84. He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Cheryl Boyer and Linda Strong; two granddaughters, Andrea and Sarah (Michael) Boyer; two great grandsons, Chase and Hayden Daley; two sisters, Sandra Townsend and Sharon Gennety as well as several nieces and nephews. Known by many as “Railroad Ray”, Mr. Strong was born in Albion to William and Jane (Brzozowski) Strong on May 30, 1933. He attended Jackson Public Schools and served in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Railroad as a signalman after 42 years of dedicated service. He loved his family and admired his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a passion for airplanes, trains and enjoyed eating at McDonalds. Cremation has been selected and a Memorial Visitation will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in his honor to the Department of Aging in Jackson would be greatly appreciated.
