Richard Woodworth Edger

Richard Woodworth Edger "Dick" age 87, of Knoxville, TN passed away October 15, 2022 at Henry Ford Hospital Jackson, MI. He was born in Leslie MI on June 2,1935 the son of Ernest and Mildred (Woodworth) Edger. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his 2nd wife Emma Edger (Miskowski), first wife Margaret Edger (Dalton), their daughter Marcia Snyder, and half-brother Russel Erwin. He is survived by his children, Michael (Cara), Margaret Denise, Sheila (Bob) Campbell, Patrick (Vicki), Melia Keep; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and his sisters, Phyllis Robinson and Marjorie Steiner. Dick graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Soil Science and worked for many years as Golf Course Superintendent at Fox Den Country Club TN. He was an avid golfer and member of the PGA and never experienced a “bad” day on the golf course, saying the most important shot in golf is the next one. The Edger family would like to thank Joe and Tammy Miskowski for providing their home and care for Dick the past several months. In keeping with Dick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public service.
