Rita Jo Loo

Of Jackson MI at the age of 69, She departed this world the morning of June 8, 2020 peacefully at home in Jackson, Michigan. Rita was born in Wise, Virginia. She was an avid reader, traveler and general champion of rebellion, graduating high school from Our Lady of Lourdes in River Rogue and later earning a baccalaureate from Michigan State University. She moved to multiple states, pursuing different careers, before settling back in Michigan in 1995. She had retired from Thompson Reuters: Creative Solution in 2017 as the Senior Manager of Business Services. She spent her remaining years exactly as she intended, as a loving, devoted mother and grandmother while still making time to travel Europe on her schedule. She leaves her sons Gerald Loo, Zachary (Elizabeth) Loo as well as five grand children; Alexis Foy, Connor, Evelyn, Adrienne, and Mackenzie Loo and honorary work son Jason Sample. Also survived by her parents John and Hazel Zubor, brothers; Michael and John P Zubor, Gerald and David Bernier, Sisters; Yvonne Hatline, Theresa Sorenson, Tracy Moritz and Janet Dodson and multiple nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday June 15, 2020 from 4:00-7:00pm at Patience Montgomery 406 First Street, Jackson Michigan. Visitors are asked to wear masks and will be admitted in limited numbers, in accordance with CDC regulations.
